Office Closure: Beginning July 2, the Delap office will close for an interior remodel. The remodel project has been in the works for months and will include an updated reception area as well as new and improved conference rooms. The project is scheduled to last a few months, with the office anticipated to reopen sometime around the holidays. We will continue to assist our clients with their accounting and advisory needs during the remodel, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this renovation process.
For demonstrating innovation and leadership in its wellness programs, Delap has been named a 2022 Healthiest Employer in Oregon. The firm was recently ranked #9 among companies with 100-499 employees on the Portland Business Journal's 2022 list of Healthiest Employers in Oregon.
The Healthiest Employers of Oregon award was created to recognize organizations that are committed to creating a healthy workplace and takes into consideration leadership buy-in, needs of the employee population, and how proactively employers are supporting wellbeing.
The assessment is conducted by Healthiest Employers® through an online survey comprised of 75 questions based on six key categories: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis. Data points from questions score employers with the Healthiest Employer Index and ranks employers among groups of similar size. The categories, scoring, and benchmarking were formed with the help of a national group of representatives from the academic, medical, wellness, and business communities.

To support this value, Delap holds an annual Wellness Challenge during tax season to encourage employees to take breaks, stay active, and join in team-oriented fitness activities. Employees are also encouraged to use smart devices through the firm's health insurance program to count their steps and attain fitness goals.
To help employees manage stress and prevent burnout, Delap has also released several mental health initiatives across the firm, including monthly wellness tips as well as offering a free Calm subscription to all employees so they can access meditations, focus music, breathing exercises, sleep stories, and more. The firm also recognizes the benefits of taking time to unplug and recharge and encourages employees to take PTO whenever they need it.
