As a partner in Delap’s audit practice, Alex serves a wide variety of clients with their audit and financial reporting needs. With strategic planning and implementation, he helps navigate clients through merger and acquisition transactions, enhancing internal controls, and assessing fraud risks. “At Delap, we’re about more than just accounting and making a living. We’re about making a difference in people’s lives and our community. That makes it a very positive environment to work in,” he says.

Since joining Delap in 2001, Alex has been instrumental in defining the firm’s strategic vision and empowering his team to achieve their professional objectives and surpass the industry standard of excellence. He was CEO from 2015-2020.

Alex has over 25 years of public accounting experience. He started his career at KPMG, where, for over six years in the Los Angeles office, he managed large audit and consulting engagements for publicly and privately held businesses. During those years he served as the lead manager on numerous nationally recognized accounts, including Nestle USA, Inc., Taco Bell Corp., Trader Joe’s Company, Skechers USA, Inc., Guitar Center, Inc., and John Paul Mitchell Systems.

A native Oregonian, Alex spends the majority of his time outside the office with his wife and four children. He enjoys coaching youth athletics, volunteering at his church, and any opportunity to be outdoors.
